Raspberry & Vanilla swirl cake with freeze dried & fresh raspberries, with a buttercream filling from Karen.
Sarah & Sophie made a still warm Eccles Cake with apple, cinnamon & currant centre. It had a sweet lemon drizzle top.
Michelle one of our newest members brought a lovely traditional raspberry & almond cake with a crumbly almond top.
Anne made a ‘Naked Cake’ , that’s sponge filled , but with no coating or icing, just a dust of icing sugar. She filled it with rose flavoured cream, with the perfect balance of flavour.
Ness made an Earl Grey Tea Loaf. This had honey & dried fruit instead of sugar. Its origins are in Northumberland & the granting of voting rights to ordinary people.
Kates Eton Mess cake was built around a Nigella all in one Lemon Meringue sponge layer cake with strawberry , blueberry, lemon curd and cream .
